Wendy is the firm’s senior partner and co-heads the firm's personal injury department with Stuart Kightley.  Wendy has been with Osbornes since 1981 and has specialised in personal injury work and medical negligence since 1990.

She has enjoyed success in two recent substantial stress at work claims, has recovered one of the highest awards for negligent cosmetic surgery for one of our clients and is involved on a daily basis in claiming compensation for clients who have had road or industrial accidents. She also recently recovered nearly £500,000 for a City employee who fell down some stairs at a hotel and sustained a serious eye injury.

Other examples of recent cases are: recovering compensation of more that £100,000 for a chef who injured her arm when lifting heavy equipment at work; a similar figure for a carpenter who slipped on a greasy pavement and injured his shoulder and a similar figure for a student who sustained a fractured pelvis in a road traffic accident.

Wendy has also been involved in many cases acting for elderly clients where substantial sums have been recovered for care provided by members of the client’s family.

She is also conducting something of a crusade to try and extend the law to enable relatives of victims in fatal accidents to be able to recover compensation for their psychiatric injury – an area of law which is a legal minefield.

Wendy has been a member of the Law Society's specialist Personal Injury Panel since 1994 and is accredited as a senior litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

When not at work Wendy spends most of her time catering to the many needs of her two teenage sons and enjoys the odd game of tennis.

Julian joined Osbornes in 1997 and became a Partner and Head of the Family Department in 1998.  Julian has been acting for high net worth individuals throughout his career many of whom have had an international aspect to their case. Julian has also undertaken a number of complex children cases which have an international element by virtue of which Julian is a member of Reunite. 

Julian is a member of the International Bar Association. 

Julian personally handled the leading case of Ben Hashem v Radfan which laid down the rules and guidelines which the Family Courts should adopt when considering the rights of third parties in family cases. This remains the leading case.

Throughout his career he has frequently handled cases where there have been assets over £10,000,000 a significant number of which have issues which involve overseas trusts and corporate vehicles which have potentially significant tax issues.

Julian was also one of the first trained Mediators by Resolution and has been actively undertaking Mediation since 1997.

He has a significant and thriving Mediation practice. Mediation is now the most significant expanding and exciting area of family work especially following the implementation of the new Family Procedure Rules in April 2011.

Umut graduated with a Politics degree from University of Greenwich in 1998. After working in the public sector for a number of years he completed the GDL at the University of Westminster and the LPC at the College of Law.

Umut has worked in the legal industry since 2007 first as a legal assistant and then as a trainee solicitor. Having qualified as a solicitor in November 2012, Umut joined Osbornes' PI department in January 2013.

In his previous role, Umut had experience in dealing with all aspects of Personal Injury claims including Road Traffic Accidents, Employer’s Liability, Product Liability, Occupiers' Liability and claims against the CICA.

Justyna studied Law at the University of Surrey and graduated in 2012 with a 2:1 degree. She joined Osbornes Solicitors LLP as a paralegal in the Family Department in April 2013.

Her previous experience includes working in the Family Section of the Guildford County Court, and doing internships in the European Parliament and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London.

Justyna speaks fluent English, Polish and German. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, running and socialising with her friends and family.

Ewelina joined Osbornes as a litigation executive in August 2012. 

Ewelina graduated with a 2:1 LLB degree with Honours from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 2011. After university, she completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City Law School and was called to the Bar in October 2012.

Before joining Osbornes, Ewelina was conducting legal research on Human Rights at the University of the Free State in South Africa and as a Blackstone Legal Scholar underwent training on Human Rights and Natural Law in Phoenix, Arizona. Ewelina's article on Human Rights was published in the United States. Ewelina is a member of Inner Temple and Young Legal Aid Lawyers. 

Ewelina is fluent in Polish and German and is currently studying Russian.

Nataliya Scott is a Lviv-born qualified Ukrainian-Russian Linguist–Interpreter. She studied at The Transcarpathian State University in Lviv, Ukraine, completing her BA in Applied Linguistics of English Language and International Relations.

Nataliya has experience in interpreting at HMRC and the UK Immigration service and at medical appointments, including Medical Negligence claims.

In addition to  freelance interpreting, Nataliya has also worked as a UK qualified health care professional for over 8 years, which has expanded her knowledge of health related nuances when translating personal injury claims.

Małgorzata Oborzyńska joined Osbornes Solicitors in August 2013 and is a Paralegal in the Personal Injury Department, Camden Office, where she deals with most types of personal injury claims, such as Accidents at Work, Road Traffic Accidents, Slipping and Tripping Accidents and Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims.

Caroline graduated with a BSc in Biology from Bristol University before completing the GDL and LPC at BPP Law School in London.
